This is the only thread I'll post in regard to the murder of George Floyd. Couple of disclaimers:
1. I am white and acknowledge that I have privilege as a result of that fact.
2. I work along cops every day and would not be able to do my job without them. (more on this later).

3. I am a pacifist. I always have been. I always will. Violence as a whole makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable.

That being said here is my opinion:

George Floyd was murdered by the cop in the video. I believe the cop should be head legally accountable for his actions.

Under no circumstances should people put any blame onto Mr. Floyd OR the paramedics and ER staff that fought to save his life.

I do not agree with the looting and arson. All in all, a large part of the strain from this violent reaction is being placed on the fire department...

...and EMS departments.

I believe the way that law enforcement is operated is flawed beyond belief and it needs to be totally redone.

That is all I will say on this subject and I WILL NOT be replying to any comments. I do not want to argue on my stance.
