My heart hurts for the black community. I am a privileged Latina that grew up in a city w 95% Latinx and no diversity. I can’t and will never understand the hurt and fear the community has every time another innocent person is brutally killed.
I feel your pain. I am an advocate in my classist, colorist, and racist Mexican/American household. As sad as it makes me. The Latinx community is part of the problem Sometimes the older generation is so set in there beliefs and ideologies that our only hope is NOW & generations
to come. We have been endocrined that the darker you are the less worthy you are. And lighter skinned people are praised. It’s disgusting quite frankly. People have such a disregard and ignorance. They’ve been stuck in their comfortable laredo bubble.
I’ve been told on several occasions by people of the latinx community that they would never date a person of color not because they’re racist but simply the fact they’re not attracted. And then they feel threatened and scared when a POC approaches them. They cross the street to
Avoid any encounter. (They’re not to scared to drop the n word tho) Yet they’re surprised and outraged by what’s going on. It’s so HYPOCRITICAL. You are part of the problem.
