An oft repeated statement by many Republicans in this country is that "Obama brought about more racial division than any president in US history." Well it& #39;s been 4 years since he left, and how much different are we now with George Floyd than we were with, say, Eric Garner?

Too many add extra bullshit to deflect from the actual problem of racist persons. Y& #39;all remember how they brought up had many misdemeanors Garner had as they could, as if it somehow justified what happened? Would not be surprised if someone was digging up any dirt they can...

To try to make Floyd look like he deserved it, so that people can again shut their eyes and pretend police brutality is either okay or not happening to people who don& #39;t "deserve" it.

And now that there& #39;s riots, people are making excuses again.

Let me be clear, I loathe rioting. But focusing on that and ignoring why people are protesting, especially many others who are doing so peacefully, is just deflecting to avoid having to face something uncomfortable.

And this isnt something people shouldnt be uncomfortable with.

And also to be clear, people who say "Obama is responsible for racial division" in this country are just dumb, if this thread didn& #39;t make it completely apparent of how I felt about that.
