some of you are unaware of how em*ly andr*s is incredibly problematic, homophobic and transphobic so here’s a thread to help you understand

transphobia in real life when emily refused to apologise for misgendering somebody until they apologised for ‘bullying’

emily then did this again last year, misgendered my friend and was extremely rude and refused to acknowledge the replies telling her she was misgendering my friend

she also called my friend the worst despite not knowing this person and my friend was and still is still upset by this interaction over a year later, hence wanting their name/@/icon not to be included

numerously has referred to waverly as a lesbian which is erasing her bisexuality - biphobia that again is harmful to so many people to see their sexuality shown as either straight or gay not bisexual

emily killed off the main poc [dolls] in wynonna earp and has a mainly white main cast

she has written incredibly bad lgbt representation, both love interests for the queer characters (waverly and jeremy) are not given a back story and are only there to give these two characters a relationship.
robin was purely written in so it wasn’t one gay male character

she has been praised for “wayhaught” but it is not a healthy relationship and is incredibly badly written, there is never any communication they just kiss and have sex to get retweets and views on those scenes. there are plot holes within this relationship that are not addressed

season two has waverly possessed by a demon and therefore there are a lot of gaps in her memory when the demon takes control, she often has scenes with nicole, including kissing&having sex, in one scene she kisses nicole while possed, that is the motivation of the kiss

this in context is a very inappropriate kiss and waverly is very sensible and understanding and would never do anything like that, later once they rid the demon nicole asks waverly if she remembers everything & she says yes but in reality she wouldn’t and they proceed to have sex

this is just me showing the bad writing and the fact that emily just wants the views on the kisses and sex scenes and not good representation - i could go on about this scene forever but it’s just bad writing and a shitty use of a sex scene just to get views

emily called kat an ally in a reply to a tweet of her coming out article she did in diva magazine, refusing to acknowledge that she isn’t straight

during a time when everybody should be using their platform to spread awareness and support to black lives matter she’s more fussed on being petty and being a dick about it - this was today
