I thought I’d put a thread together as to why I believe David Brooks is good value, I always say I think he’s a top talent and he probably is the most talented player i’ve seen in a Bournemouth shirt but I’ve never backed it up with any evidence. #footballindex
Firstly, he is 22 years old plays predominantly on the RW for Bournemouth but when he does play through the centre he can be quite a threat (albeit this has not happened too often for Bournemouth).
He was a nominee for YPFTA following the 2018-2019 EPL season, registering 7 goals and 5 assists from a total of 30 games and averaging only 76 minutes per game. He has previously won a silver day with a 237 PB score.
For full transparency his other scores haven’t been particularly high, the second highest was 155. Do consider though he was part of a team that also lost 50% of their games within that EPL season as well.
The amount of big chances he can create within a game as well as his vision is second to none, as shown in this stat here... the reason I believe he is good value at £2 is not only that he is a quality player is that the next 18 months do look rather interesting for his future.
There are a few scenarios that could occur and Bournemouth currently are 18th in the relegation zone, if they were to get relegated he would most certainly move. If Bournemouth stay up I believe he’ll have another season at Bournemouth then move after the Euros.
Also Wales’ group does look like they have a very good opportunity to progress to the next stage and I think if fully fit he would be 100% playing for Wales.
Now ultimately the big question is what club he’ll end up at? I’ve seen over the past 18 months a lot of links with Chelsea, Spurs but most importantly United.
The link Giggs has with United was pretty key to the transfer with Dan James and I think this could be replicated with Brooks (hence why speculation has been ongoing for a long time now).
