It actually really depends on the kind of software engineering you’ll be doing. Companies that focus a lot on strong problem solving skills by testing for data structures and algorithms usually have their own tooling for doing pretty much everything.
Even if you had 10 years of experience prior to joining, you’ll pretty much be learning how they do things. A lot of architectural decisions are made at a level much higher with design documents and user stories already written. You can then follow the “manual” and do your work.
The other thing to also note is companies that do these kind of interviews are focused on problems that you will not find solutions for on stack overflow. That is why problem solving skills are so important to them.
