MA SUMMER PROGRAMMING
4-Day Modified Soviet Hi/Lo Approach
We are going to leverage our current state by allocating volume amounts properly. This will lead to potentiation over time to OPTIMIZE our training.

Pictured here is our approach to training. Giving a specific # of reps per month of training and allocating volume leaves little room for error.
Being precise at the macro level allows for adjustments at the micro without throwing off the overall plan

WEEKLY
As you can see, the reps are broken down into weekly amounts, and daily amounts.
Phase 1 Allocation will ramp up in an accumulation style to train for capacity.
Phase 2 will wave weekly to optimize our nervous system & training as we head into fall practice.

DAILY
We will utilize a consistent wave pattern of volume throughout the summer.
Monday - 28%
Tuesday - 22%
Wednesday - 35%
Thursday - 15%
We use this model so we can have a quality training sessions, EVERY session.

What qualifies as Hi or Lo?
High:
Neurological Output
Speed
Low:
Neurological Demand
Speed
This will be a paired approach on the field as well with their skill work.
Fried CNS = low retention rate + low skill acquisition potential

High days will be high. Low days will be low.
We will teach skills and high cognitive concepts on low days along with a high physiological but low neurological training day.
Will have high outputs and speeds in the weight room along with the approach on the field.

More on intensity, exercise selection, sets/reps, and prep tomorrow.
