How To Make A Twitch Channel Trailer:

1) Create a trailer using a storytelling framework that invites your viewer onto a journey that must be worth following.

2) What do they want?

Define your target audience and write down what they want. Package this desire as the thing you deliver.

Ex: I make content for FPS lovers that want to get involved in esports.
3) What problem do they have?

Ask yourself, what's keeping them from getting what they want? Dig deep and look for root causes.

Ex: Esports is based on teams and it's really hard to find a team and build chemistry.
4) Empathize with their problem

Your viewer wants to be acknowledged. Let them know you feel their pain. Relate to them.

Ex: When I first got started, it took months for me to find a team.
5) Why are you qualified to solve this?

Build authority. Tell them about your unique experience that makes you the streamer to follow.

Ex: I've been competing with my team the last 2 years and made over $50,000.
6) What's the plan?

Become their guide. Viewers only take actions that are simple and clear. Give them 3-5 steps to engage your stream.

Ex: Step 1, click the follow button. Step 2, tune in the next time we go live. Step 3, get involved in esports.
7) Tell them to follow

Say it again. Make it clear what you want the viewer to do.

Ex: So, make sure to follow... (continue reading)
8) What do they have to lose?

What is the worst thing that could happen if they don't follow. Spell it out for them.

Ex: So, make sure to follow so you can avoid "playing games for fun" for the rest of your life.
9) What do they have to gain?

Paint the picture of a bright future if they follow. Don't lie. Just remind them of the best possible outcome.

Ex: Join a community of like-minded players that'll help you earn money playing the games you love.
