I’ve seen a lot of Derek Jeter hate randomly on the timeline. Not sure when/why baseball fans switched from loving, to hating him. I honestly think it was due to the boredom of this pandemic, but anyways, saying he’s overrated is ridiculous, and here’s why:

There have been around 20,000 Major League Baseball players, and only 5 of them have more hits than Derek Jeter. Pete Rose, Ty Cobb, Hank Aaron, Stan Musial, and Tris Speaker. Out of those 5 players, only Cobb, Speaker, and Musial, have a higher career batting average
