Unpopular opinion but the Portuguese League is the best league for finding world class talents.

A thread:
The obvious one. Arguably the greatest player to ever play the beautiful game.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a product of Sporting Lisbon's academy.
His team mate Alex Sandro played at Porto for 5 seasons, winning 2 league titles.

Now he is one of the worlds best left backs.
Speaking of Porto left backs, ever hear of Alex Telles? Arguably the finest left back in world football.

This man can do it all.

Currently plying his trade at Porto and is heavily linked with PSG and Atletico.
Now we will move onto three Real Madrid legends.

All played in the Portuguese league before signing for Los Blancos.

All went onto have legendary careers and be amongst the best in their positions.

Luis Figo, Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho
Let me introduce you to Eusebio.

Some say he was the greatest player to ever live.

Yes we are going back to the 60s here. But it just goes to show the history the Portuguese League has of producing world class talents.
Nani was a product of Sporting Lisbon's academy and he lit the world on fire during his time at Manchester United, winning absolutely every trophy there was to win.

Underrated isn't the word.

This man is everything they think Rashford and Martial is.
Deco was a World class CM who won major trophies at Porto, Barcelona and Chelsea.

He is somewhat forgotten about these days but to me, he is up there with the best CMs I've seen.

Legend.
One of the most underrated midfield partnerships in the game.

Neves and Moutinho would walk into most sides starting XI in the Premier League. Especially Manchester United.

Two winners who also played at Porto.
Joao Felix. One of the most exciting talents in world football

Just smashed the transfer record by moving to Atletico for £113 million after bossing the Portuguese League, winning Benfica a title & then going onto win an International trophy with Portugal

Did I mention he's 20?
Alex Grimaldo.

A promising LB from Spain who is bossing the Portuguese League and making most left backs in the world look inferior.

A welcome addition to any club because he is destined to become world class, if he isn't close to it already.
My guy. Bruno Fernandes.

Walked into the Premier League like an absolute boss after making the Portuguese League his personal training ground.

There's no limit to how much sauce this man possesses.

Just another example of how shopping in Portugal beats signing serial losers.
My captain.

Single handedly saved Manchester United from relegation territory this season.

There is absolutely no denying this factual claim, no matter how much you want to.

Look it up, do the research.

Also played for Benfica, winning a league title back in 2013.
Victor Nilsson Lindelof.

For me, Manchester United's best centre back by some distance.

8 trophies to his name, most of which were at Benfica.

Meanwhile he takes all the flack and our "captain" who has 4 relegations and zero trophies to his name gets all the plaudits.
