the world feels hopeless and it just makes me angry and i wish there was more that was safe to do in this moment to protect people of color
i've been trying to pass around the links to donate to different funds b/c it's not a great time for me to send money since i'm officially moving in two weeks, but i plan on doing so once i have some more stability
as for action, i'm going to figure out how to best utilize my time and labor now and later, when there'll be more of it to go around. in the mean time, remember to be on the lookout for possible moments of brutality. drive past a cop stopping a POC? stop and watch. give to funds.
organize and contact local groups in your areas to figure out how to best make a change directly. VOTE. remind friends and family. read up on the histories of oppression and know how to communicate about them. these are all things we can do inside our homes
it's infuriating to see shit that's broken and feeling powerless to do anything to change it. that's why riots happen, that's why looting happens -- it's the most direct means of seizing something resembling power. i'll support that wholeheartedly. if you're mad about that, think
people act in ways that would otherwise be "unreasonable" when they're at a breaking point, and at a collective level, an uprising how that manifests. instead of casting a moral judgement on those people, question what brought them to that point. then start changing that
this is just so heartbreaking to see the world as it really is AGAIN, a completely bigoted and hopeless place for people based on things that they have no control over. fuck racism, fuck cops, fuck the state, support the POC in your lives, now more than ever
