I've seen a lot of confusion on my tl so coming from a black person, using aave is NOT racist. Aave is a laungage, just like english and spanish. The problem is not non black people using it, it's the overuse and praise they get for doing so. (1/4)

the problem is that when white people use black laungage it is seen as cool and trendy but when black people do it, it's seen as ghetto. Even when a white person isn't using the terms correctly (finna gonna get turnt sis). (2/4)

it's tied to oppression, and that's the overwhelming issue. THAT BEING SAID using terms like "simp" and "asf" or "finna" or "sis" IS OKAY AND NOT RACIST. aave and english are tied together, all laungages are. All laungages have parts of others in them. (3/4)
