Don’t do this. You’re gonna risk scratching your corneas with any solution derived from a powder if yoo get it in your eyes.

Just use water. https://twitter.com/catapereiram/status/1265859344534511616
Tear gas used in the US is mostly aerosolized CS powder. You’re already in bad shape when you encounter it. Spraying random household chemicals in your face makes it worse.

Alleviating the pain isn’t the same as recovering from the effects.
Ok y’all need some lessons on riot control chemicals.
Lesson 1: Mace and pepper spray are mostly the same thing. Mace is a brand name, like Kleenex. Most Mace products today are OC based, OC being the active capsicum ingredient in pepper spray.
Lesson 2: Bear spray is more or less a weaker version of pepper spray, not a worse version, contrary to popular belief. The active ingredients are usually the same, but in lower concentrations.
Lesson 3: “Tear Gas” refers to any number of chemical compounds delivered in several forms. Some of the more popular forms are CS, CN, CR, peppet spray, and other chemicals
Lesson 4: riot control chemicals come in different forms and have different purposes. Treatment depends on the medium.

For example, if you try to wash pepper gel spray with water and you don’t have enough water, you can make things much worse!
Lesson 5: Any substance you make with a powder-based solution is risky. Unless you are a chemist and can know for certain that you are not suspending crystals in water, you will run the risk of injuring your patients’ eyes.
Lesson 6: one of the most important things you can do when hit with a chemical agent is hydrate. Your body will try to flush the chemicals using its natural reactions, but to do this you must be well hydrated
Lesson 7: leave the milk. First of all, how long you think a protest lasts?

Ok, now do you want someone pourong 9 hour warm milk in your face? You gonna carry a minifridge? You sure the person doesn’t have dairy allergies?
Lesson 8: do you know what antacids are indicated for? Drinking to reduce the pain of stomach acid.

Do you know what they’re not indicated for? Pouring into your mucous membranes.

Again, don’t apply medication to people if you’re not a doctor
Lesson 9: You can download the MSDS for most of these chemicals for free online.

You know what the MSDS has?

Suggested treatments.
Lesson 10: don’t put shit in anyone’s eyes especially if you don’t know if they wear contacts. (Don’t wear contacts folks).
Lesson 10: all riot control agents can be lethal, but lethality is almost always accompanied first by respiratory symptoms.

If you can scream in pain, you’ll live.

The pain will go away.

Eye damage, lung damage, and other issues are forever.
Lesson 12: there is no lesson 11 but there are two lesson 10s
Lesson 13: this riot medic book is free and written by an experienced riot medic https://twitter.com/hakan_geijer/status/1260121794587037696
Lesson 14: listen to the chemist
