We need to talk about the number of men making money giving dating advice to women online. There are some really good ones, but I am truly amazed by how many of them there are. Why are they ALL targeting women? Are men not interested in being better at relationships?

I’m all for personal growth. There are some relationship coaches who are truly doing healing work. What does not sit well with me is that the emotional burden is on women to make themselves better in order to attract/be with the right guy. When do men do the work of being better?

It also worries me that none of them talk about patriarchy & how men & marriage are set up as “the prize”. How much of women’s time & heart space is spent longing, agonizing, examining ourselves in relation to men? Again, who is encouraging men to do this? No one. This is a scam.

I told a friend & brother of mine yesterday that men need to get to the point where the weight of who patriarchy has turned them into becomes so unbearable that they have to do the transformative work of healing & evolving. Many women are already there, but we can’t do it for men

There is a whole industry built around male relationship experts coaching women in a world where there are so few spaces that support & encourage men to unlearn patriarchy and be better people. Sorry to keep harping on this, but the same dudes could be talking to other men too.
