In the first year working at this nonprofit, an older yt-cishet male board member called me “Jamal” boldly to my face. He was a millionaire and our biggest indiv. donor. I was told to let it go.

At a an annual nonprofit fundraising event, an older Asian female board member asked me my ethnicity as the topic of a group discussion. I was one of two Black ppl in this group, everyone else was yt.

A supervisor I had was in a position at one nonprofit where so much was put on her plate, that she was doing the work of two c-suite level jobs with only one title.
