When good cops fear retaliation for speaking out against bad cops, the system is fundamentally corrupt.

When the justice system is corrupt, there can be no trust in those meant to enforce it.

When the good cops are silent, we can only see bad cops.
In 1704, southern colonies CREATED police forces for the purpose of catching runaway slaves. Then they enforced the Black Codes. Then Jim Crow Laws/Segregation.

Openly. Explicitly. For 261 years.

Keeping black people "in their place" is woven into the DNA of American policing.
We see the system as corrupt and unjust, but in truth it's only fulfilling its original mission.

It's not suddenly happening more now than it has before. We just have cameras.

The system isn't broken. It's working as designed.

We don't need to fix it. We need to replace it.
