Don't get distracted. The whole problem with Amy Klobuchar's tenure as Minneapolis' head prosecutor is that she never filed charges in police killing cases.

Instead she would leave them to grand juries. It's what the prosecutors in the Ahmaud Arbery case tried to do. https://twitter.com/travisakers/status/1266042282857369600
So here, Derek Chauvin - the cop who murdered George Floyd - killed a man by the name of Wayne Reyes in October 2006. Amy Klobuchar could have had him arrested and charged then.

She didn't. She just left it to a grand jury and predictably they failed to indict.
Amy Klobuchar admits now that that was the wrong way to handle things. Here she is on @CuomoPrimeTime a few nights ago saying just that.

So please do not try to say she wasn't responsible for letting Derek Chauvin get away with that first killing. She was. https://twitter.com/CuomoPrimeTime/status/1265461481174437888?s=20
These cases still have to go before grand juries, but a prosecutor who makes the decision to arrest and charge a police officer first is demonstrating that they are committed to prosecuting them.

Not doing that is shrugging your shoulders and saying, eh who cares.
