Beach/Pool/Yacht Day “Pump” Tips (Thread):

The szn of endless summer is upon us and one must always be able to show off their hard-earned physique in all of its glory at a moment's notice.

Here's a thread comprised of my esoteric knowledge surrounding the "pre-party pump"
The pre party pump is reserved for a few special occasions throughout summer.

A few events that demand your body to be at peak physical sex appeal
"The Cut"

Ideally the road to a perfect pump starts weeks, if not months in advance. Throughout the summer I like to stay ~2 weeks out from the best shape of my life.

Start the cut in March to ensure abs are defined and arms are juicy by June
(Diet on peak week)

A week before the big day it is important to pay extra attention to carb, sodium and water levels.

Below is a template of an appropriate carbs/ water/ sodium ratio to be holding the week leading up to the big day
In short he is looking to flush out excess water to achieve the tight, dehydrated, muscle bound look.

The final day(s) here are extremely difficult but I guarantee you'll see striations you've never seen before
Increase sodium and carb intake an hour before your event. A pickle juice shot is a great way to achieve a godly pump as the sodium will drive blood to your engorged muscles

The "shrink wrap method" is another form of carbohydrate restriction leading up to a big event.

It was popularized by Brad Pitt in the movies Fight Club and Troy.

An hour or so leading up to the event start driving more blood into the "vanity muscles".

Push-ups, Lat raises, Tricep extensions and other "push" exercises are great for achieving this type of pump. A few curls thrown in can't hurt either.
Avoid back and leg exercises as they will drive blood away from muscles that give the illusion of size.

I also avoid ab exercises as I feel an ab pump makes my abdominals less defined
Most importantly, always listen to some Lana Del Ray while pursuing the golden pump.

There's a reason bodybuilders use that fake tan spray shit; it helps create the illusion of a slimmer body by making the muscles more visible even when not flexed. A tan body also just looks healthier.

No need for fake spray but get some vit D leading up to the big day
