This battle for the soul of the AfDB is the battle against neo-colonialism. I asked a question in last that with @BWLawal and @justinijeh, ”Where did the stolen African money go?”

This is a question I found the answer to when trying to raise locally for VC. The money is outside.
I found it interesting that most family offices for very ”wealthy” Africans were not based in Africa. They would refer me to a trustee or fund manager in Europe or Dubai. Most of the time Europe. One guy I spoke with was managing several family funds.
The conversations were interesting. I finally realized what I should be doing. Do what they are doing for governments and communities instead of families. Africa is rich, Africa is just not smart. We allow people to take our resources and recycle it back to us at a premium.
Colonialism was about power. The Edo massacre of 1897 was about power. The British were trying to erase Portuguese influence and stamp theirs. They also wanted unfettered access to the Niger Delta market. We still suffer the effect today.
