rosa parks!!! this woman fought for the rights of black people to be able to sit in a bus freely and not be seperated from white people, she kept going even through the struggle and after she got arrested, she is such a brave woman
martin luther king jr, he fought for equality for black people, not only was he threatened by the fbi he got assassinated trying to fight for equal rights, never forget him
malcolm x, he wanted the same thing martin luther king did, equal rights to all black people, he fought for it and got assassinated for fighting for equal rights
madam c. j. walker, the first BLACK woman to become a self-made millionare, i just think we should know that it was a black woman who was the first self made millionare among women! she was also an activist (mostly for issues among black women)
mary mcleod bethune, a woman who was fighting for equal rights for african american people, she was also known for starting a private school for african american students!
shirley chisholm, she was the first black person for a major party's nomination for the president of the united states! and the first woman to run for the democratics party's presidential nomination, as well as the first woman to appear in a united states presidential debate.
charles r. drew, he was an american surgeon who helped during world war 2 and protested against the racial segregation in the donation of blood, he also started whats now known as bloodmobiles!
benjamin mays, he also fought for the freedom of black people and mentored a lot of civil rights activists, including martin luther king!!! hes known for his "no man is ahead of his time" speech
