I can& #39;t even go out do harmless things w/ friend. What they see as innocent fun, I see as a potential death sentence.

Cuz I& #39;ve been ever since I was 4 and a man screamed a hard R at me for "stealing candy" before I& #39;d even made it to the front door.

And when I was in a group of white kids on a high school field trip passing through a gift shop, some woman singles me out of the hoard and tells the teacher she "saw" me put something in my pocket.

And what about that time where I called the cops for a domestic dispute after the people involved asked for help, only to have my family get mad at me for putting myself in serious danger.
Not by involving myself in the situation, but by talking to and being near the police.

My family was mad at me cuz they were scared the police would harm me. I was so young I didn& #39;t understand at the time. But new generations are learning to fear them so early.
Saw a 7 y/o girl in HYSTERICS at McDonalds as a cop ordered a burger. She was scared he& #39;d shoot her.

Can you imagine being afraid of people who are supposed to help you when you need it most?
Seeing white kids looking up at a "superhero" in awe while the POC kids are crying in fear cuz they know that these are the people that always murder their families is just... Sad.
