So you’re interested in buying a gun for the 1st time ...

Let me help you make good choices instead of bad ones like this young lady.
She just went out and got the whatever was available and she went out and got the cheapest gun on the market. In the world of guns .. you do get what you pay for quality wise.

And Hi-Points are shit quality ( don’t believe me? Google is your friend.)

“Buy once, cry once.”
I’m gonna teach you the method I use to buy a gun. You don’t wanna rush out and get just anything .. especially a gun that has shady track record. But it’s much deeper than buying the gun. Most people will buy a gun, a box of bullets and think they’re done .
1. RESEARCH

You gotta do your due diligence..

Rearch the Laws in your state 1st .. you better take a deep dive into what you can OR CANNOT do in your state .. example: some states won’t even allow you to own hollow points .. or guns that have more than 10rds
Every state doesn’t have a stand your ground aka castle doctrine ( Maryland for example) states are extremely direct on when, where and how you can carry out lethal force ..
Moving on .. once you’ve read and UNDERSTAND the laws IN YOUR STATE, you can now move onto buying a gun. You are still in research mode. ask yourself “what am I buying this gun for? “ home defense or carry? Or do I want one for both?”
YOUTUBE IS YOUR FRIEND.

There are soooo much information on guns and gun things it’s silly.

I suggest you spend a couple days and look up different types of guns that might fit your needs. “Tips for 1st time gun buyers” is a GREAT start.
Don’t just look at one channel .. you gonna wanna look at multiple channels talking about the same .. cuz everyone opinion and views are different. And you don’t wanna make a choice on just one persons review.
Pro Tip: best caliber to start with is the 9mm .. hands down.

Lightest recoil of all of the major calibers , most capacity, least expensive rounds of a major calibers.

Be aware that short barrel gun will have more recoil than longer barrel gun.
RENT:

Found the gun you wanted surfing YouTube? Now go to gun range and rent it. hold it in your hand. Does it feel good in your hand? Now shoot it, still feel good? Try as many guns as you feel necessary to find the best fit for you.
Look @ guns in various price ranges. just because everyone says “get a Glock” doesn’t mean their right. While glocks are literally the Honda of guns, you may not have 500 to fork over. you can find a good quality gun for cheap like this Canik TP9SF or This Smith & Wesson SD9VE
A gun is a tool. Just like driving a car, you have to learn how to use it properly, SAFELY or else you’ll be a danger to others when using it.

It’s a tool that’s meant to save your life and the life of your love ones.

TREAT IT AS SUCH.
As I said earlier. One common mistake that most new buyers make is that they feel they are done after buying a gun and box or 2 of bullets ( prolly the wrong bullets at that) .

And they’ll let it sit somewhere never to use it again. this could cost you your life.
TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN.

You have learn how to shoot properly.. proper handgrip , learn the controls of your weapon , Sight alignment.. learn how to hit your target etc.

That takes constant practice.. like driving a car is a constant practice no matter how long you’ve been driving.
Don’t be afraid to get professional help. There is no shame in being taugh proper fundamentals. Firearm instructors everywhere in every gun store , gun range in America .. You had to get professional help to learn how to drive didn’t you?
Hopefully this will be of service to you all.I feel like it’s bit everywhere, but please don’t hesitate to ask me any question, especially my black people who are on the fence about buying guns. All I can say is “It’s up to you to protect yourself and ur family”

Love and light.
