As a black person in America, all it takes is one #AmyCooper that leads to one 911 call, & for me & my black body to end up like #GeorgeFloyd lying pulseless in the street under the knee of an unfit, biased, & overly agressive police officer.
And throughout my life, most of my interactions with police officers have been unwarranted & insanely aggressive. The only thing that I can point to for still being alive, is random luck. Cause all of the other elements have been there every single time.
On any given day or interaction with police, my law-abiding citizenship, degrees, accomplishments, career, articulateness, professorship, etc. don’t matter. Only my blackness. And in America, that outside of chance, is a death sentence.
