I don't like the romanticization of revolutionary violence (or self-defense). If we're talking revolution, be prepared to attend funerals and bury people. Be prepared to give your condolences to parents and siblings. Be prepared to write letters and donate to the incarcerated.
There are Black revolutionaries who fled to Cuba, some hijacked planes to make this possible. I don't believe many are aware of the smoke that comes with the title "revolutionary".

Imagine leaving any and all possibility on this land to survive. Being a real fugitive.
How do we treat our living incarcerated revolutionaries, those that exercised the gun? Do we support their families? Continue their work? Put money on their books? Speak their names?
