back home to our families because we’re American citizens and we still have priorities to handle, even when death lurks around the corner. When our parents tell us not stay out late it’s not only because nothing good happens past midnight but if shit does go down 3/

it falls on us and not Chad due to “our propensity for crime” always causing for us to be the scapegoat inevitably for something that many times is not our fault! We have to work twice at least if not five times as hard as everyone else to get a sliver of respect and a modicum 4/

of acknowledgement our counterparts get for tossing around a five dollar word when we’re one of the reasons the moon landing was possible. Our people have been enslaved for over 400 years and here we are in a world of 2020 were our technology has brought us together 5/

in countless ways and our society still cannot get a grip on the basic element of human equity and treatment for African-Americans. We are still undermined, we are disregarded, we are devalued, our resources and brilliance are pillaged, and we are sacrificed on behalf of white 6/

prosperity, while K-12 standard history classes has completely skewed the general populace’s ability to recognize the elusive presence of anglo-saxon regimes that are still very much present in this country. The morbid irony in all of this is even while I write this poignant 7/

thread with sound and intelligent remarks, to many people in this country, to many cops, to many white elitist academics, and to many politicians, I’m just another expendable black dude and that’s just ridiculous and unacceptable in every regard so here is my closing point 8/
