I don’t understand the excitement some believers find in that if they die while sinning, they will go to heaven. That is not celebrating what Jesus has done, it is insulting it! He didn’t just die to take you to heaven, He died and lives to save you from sin! (1/4)
Someone said, “does the fact that I did this (commit sin) mean I’m not a believer and I won’t go to heaven?” My brother/sister, you are like someone who asks, “does the fact that I failed a course mean I’m not a student?” Of course, not! (2/4)
But if you continue failing, the institution itself will eject you and you will soon cease to be a student. That is the eventual lot of believers who enjoy sinning under the guise of God’s grace. (3/4)
It’s true that we were saved by grace but that grace is supposed to abound. What will make this happen is coming to know the One in whom we have believed. Why? God has more than making it to heaven to give to us. (4/4)
