it’s so weird to me that some people don’t see police brutality & institutionalised racism as a problem. it’s not a new issue, it’s been around for ages. and the same group of people that created these divisions are the same ones allowing them to be repeated.. #BlackLivesMatter
it is especially white people’s responsibility (ofc i’m including myself when i say this just to clarify) to not reproduce these inequalities by calling out racist behaviour and by supporting in any way that we can... #BlackLivesMatter
we can help by voting for adequate leaders who want to tackle these issues, we can help by supporting charities that help to fight racism, we can help by protesting, speaking up, calling people out, whatever it takes to make people listen and aware... #BlackLivesMatter
I’m sorry that only now am I speaking about this issue but only recently have I felt that I am educated enough to see the issues. That’s all thanks to sociology, it opened my eyes to racial inequality in schools, the criminal justice system etc. #BlackLivesMatter
Anyway, I’ll end this thread here by saying that I think no matter how small your platform is I think it’s important to share messages like these #BlackLivesMatter
