. @comcast frustrating lots of people in our neighborhood with service outages yesterday. Their customer service kept telling people that there is no issue on their end. Multiple neighbors told me that they spent hours on the phone with Comcast support to no avail.
I scheduled for a field tech visit and then getting phone calls (including one at 7:30 am!) saying that ‘we found an issue in the neighborhood’ and therefore trying to cancel the appointment.
This morning the service was working okay before 9:00 am, but around 9:08 am the service is out again. Don’t have the patience to call Comcast support and deal with their level 1 phone reps, who just follow a script and don’t really know what is happening.
@comcastcares does a good job responding on Twitter but lacks consistency and continuity as each message seems to come from a different person. They seem earnest, but doesn’t really do much to resolve the problem.
There is a good thread on @Nextdoor with neighbors talking about the service outage and their experience with Comcast support. Glad that there is at least a way for us to compare notes using Nextdoor.
If there are other folks in Palo Alto, CA also seeing issues, please respond.
