Human 101 (Thread)

If there is one thing you should learn about humans

It's that they always play one of three roles depending on who they have to deal with, either they act as:

Children
Adults
Parents
The Child state is the spontaneous part of your personality, which most people are born with.

It is the most instinctive state where all the human uses to interact with the world is feeling. It is where our creativity, emotions, and intimacy originate.

Innocence
When you put humans in Child mode, it becomes easy to gain an authoritarian ascendant over them.

Using the basic range of emotional pulls will be enough to make them do whatever beneficial to your endeavor.

+Impress them.
+Anger them.
+Lure them.
+Ground them
The Adult state, is the main source of our rational thinking.

The adult state develops as you learn how to analyze and reflect on the experiences that you had during childhood.

This ego state enables you to make decisions based on the present circumstances.
It is your rational mind.

The mask you'd love to be wearing all the time.

Adult state ensures a position of authority and certitude.

Independent
The Adult state is also the one that tackles problems with logical, assertive thinking, and that processes information.

It is helpful when analyzing broken things, searching for solutions, and deciding what needs to be fixed.
Throughout their lifetime, children imitate their caretakers – and that’s the main source of the Parent ego state.

When you did something wrong and your mom got angry with you.

She then expressed her anger by shouting.

As a grown-up, you might adopt a similar behavior.
However, this is not an independent state.

The parent is emotionally attached to his child, because it gives him authority.

Without a child, no authority can exist.

The obvious link between the Parent mode and the inner child should help you direct an individual in that state.
If you are smart enough, you will put your interlocutor in Child mode, in every high stakes interaction.

The whole difficulty of the exercise is to maneuver with finesse, setting emotional traps, and switching the behavioral mode of your subject.
