It becomes enormously important that women, more & women in every village, every house of the village, in every office instead of avoiding menstrual talk, of trying to shy away from going to buy sanitary pads or hiding them in newspapers while bringing them. https://twitter.com/DrMichelleF/status/1266041910348730381
Once a colleague in my hospital had to go to the loo to change her pad, it was a huge corridor & that day she wasn't wearing a dress with a pocket & I can tell you that her embarrassment about needing to carry a packed pad in her hand was enormous. This is what needs to change.
She was a city bred doctor & she was embarrassed & for no reason, now imagine the state that women & girls in smaller cities, villages & schools & while working in fields face?
I use this example often to highlight how far away we are from an environment of menstrual comfort
