WHAT FUTBOL CLUB BARCELONA MIGHT LOOK LIKE IN 5 YEARS TIME !!

NOTE : This is just a general overview and there are certain assumptions made here which may or may not turn true. The Club may go on to sign new players, someone might emerge from our youth system or some players might even leave the club.

The next 5 yrs won't be good for Barca and in general football fans as the Greatest Player of All Time, Lionel Messi will leave the club and may play for Newell's OB. Other greats like Pique and Busquets will also hang up there boots and a new era at FC Barcelona will take birth.

PRESIDENT: Mr. VICTOR FONT.

With Presidential Elections scheduled to take place next year and the biggest villian at Barca leaving, we can assume that Mr. Victor Font, who has the backing of La Masia and socios, will take charge as the new President with his project Si Al Futur.

HEAD COACH: Mr. XAVI HERNANDEZ.

Club Legend Xavi is expected to be a part of Font's presidential campaign and if he is the President, Xavi will surely be the Head Coach. He will be the cornerstone of any decision regrading players and will surely return to his former club.

GK: MARC ANDRE TER STEGEN/ARNAU TENAS.

The 28 yr old German shotstopper is expected to remain at the club for the next 5 yrs and could also end up being the club captain. His Back Up will be 18 yr old Juvenil A Goalkeeper Arnau Tenas who is considered as our future in goal.

LB: ALEX GRIMALDO/JUAN MIRANDA.

Alex Grimaldo left Barca for Benfica in 2016 but I expect the 24 yr old 1.65m tall Spaniard to return under a New Board. After leaving, he went on to become on of the best LBs in the world. Juan Miranda may well be the other option in the squad.

CB: MATTHIJS DE LIGT/CLEMENT LENGLET.

Barca narrowly missed out on signing De Ligt in 2019 but I predict him to play for Barca in the near future. The highly underrated Clement Lenglet may still remain at the club till then and continue to marshall our defence.

CB: JEAN CLAIR TODIBO/SANTIAGO RAMOS.

If Todibo doesn't get sold this summer, he will surely remain at the club for a long time. He is highly talented and very young. Or else I would prefer Upamecano. 18 yr old Argentine Santiago Ramos Mingo may be the other CB in the squad.

RB: SERGINO DEST/EMERSON.

There is a high possibility that Barca sign Sergino Dest from Ajax with Semedo leaving. The 20 yr old American can be the RB for a long time with Emerson, who is currently on loan at Betis being the other RB option in the team.

CDM: FRENKIE DE JONG/JANDRO ORELLANA.

Barca signed Frenkie for 75 mil from Ajax last season and is deemed to be the long term replacement for Busquets with 19 yr old Barca B player Jandro Orellana being his back up option. He has been improving his defensive skills recently.

CM: ARTHUR MELO/RIQUI PUIG.

Barca signed Arthur from Gremio for around 30 mil last season and we've already seen his brilliance in patches and will surely improve. La Masia's priceless gem Riqui Puig will surely be the other option in the squad and can transform into a legend.

CM: CARLES ALENA/ILAIX MORIBA.

17 yr old Ilaix Moriba who is also termed as the Catalan Pogba and is one of the highest paid youth players in the world will surely be a huge part of our midfield in the future with him being well supported by 22 yr old Carles Alena.

AMF: PEDRI GONZALEZ.

Barca will sign Pedri from UD Las Palmas permanently this summer for 5 mil with the 17 yr old having already recorded 7 goal contributions for La Union Deportiva in the Segunda Division. Might be one of our stars in the future.

LW: ANSU FATI/OUSMANE DEMBELE.

While it's quite hard to predict what will happen with Dembele in the future but one thing is almost certain that Ansu Fati will be firing from the Wings. The 17 yr old has already shattered many record this season and may well be Messi's heir.

CF: LAUTARO MARTINEZ/B TEAM PLAYER.

Well even though I prefer Lautaro Martinez, I admit that the board will go on to sign Lautaro this summer with the Argentine continuing to lead our line for a long time. A B-team player can be his deputy in the squad.

RW: FRANCISCO TRINCAO/ALEX COLLADO.

Barca will complete the transfer of 20 yr old Trincao from Braga in the summer this yr and he is already termed to be the next big thing in football by his former coaches. Alex Collado can be the other option for us.
