đź—Ł Should we be asking people for money in COVID times? And what are we asking for the money for?
đź—Ł Dan says: We need to let people have the option to give. Giving has benefits to the donor, so we shouldn't deprive them
đź—Ł Are you asking your audiences to donate their ticket to your organisation instead of asking for refund?
đź—Ł Dana: Before COVID my relationships with donors were over email anyway - are we overthinking this digital stewardship?
đź—Ł Samir: It's also cheaper to host a Zoom event than a donor event with drinks/venue etc
đź—Ł Anna: Being transparent with your donors about things not going so well. They will appreciate it.

What is your experience?
đź—Ł Katherine: The crisis had hit us hard as we were just building our Donor base. We are providing a way to channel good will.
đź—Ł Big elephant in the room: guilt of asking for money. Where does your organisation stand on it?
🗣 Emily: We need to be blunt and honest because the government isn’t. people find the truth refreshing
đź—Ł Sarah: We are getting a lot of lovely stories about our venue being important to them. We ask them if we can use it in our comms and they are very enthusiastic about it.
đź—Ł Dan: Transactional donation is not happening at the moment. Converting value of a ticket into a donation can be empowering to audience members.
