Very Very Important Thread on Christian Missionaries and the Rapid conversions of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims in India. 👇
Before breaking it down into smaller parts and pieces, I want to underline the fact that there are conversions going all over India (as we talk) but I will
narrow the focus of thread on Punjab for now. The main reasons for conversions are underlined as-
1. Economic Problems in Rural areas.

This Khalsa aid video is just an example of a devout Sikh getting converted because of lack of funds for medicines and
education of his children. The man in video repeatedly says that he was not only offered money but was also treated with compassion and kindness which he failed to get from Gurdwara administration or the govt. It is an established fact that people can’t eat religion in dinner and
It is a clear case of govt failing them irrespective of the regime. The video is from 2009. The conversion is more rampant now.
2. Lack of infrastructure and Basic necessities- If a village lacks basic facility like a tube well and the MLA is an asshole who never shows up, the
people from Joshua project will show up. And they did. Watch the video to understand how basic necessities like drinking water are enough to convert people. Fact is that no one can drink Sikhism or Hinduism, so why not be a Christian and drink water. Right? By now you should hang
your head in shame.
3. Reach and care in adversity - It is no hidden fact that missionaries use adversities to gain traction. Adversities are blessings to them. Be it the pandemic or any other adversity, these people are the first ones to reach the innocent people and provide
them with help, whether that is food packets, blankets, clothes or cash. All you have to do is to convert. Fact- You can’t wear Sikhism and Hinduism, you need clothes so why not be a Christian with clothes right? If you are still reading this without feeling guilty, you lack
Self awareness.
4. No reach by Gurdwara Committees or Temple committees or the preachers to the masses-
It is established fact that sikh leadership and Hindu leadership is about noise and drums and less ground work. They will make you dream distant dreams but when you ask for
blueprint of how they would do it, they have nothing. Basically they are businessmen of religion. Exceptions can be there. And this gap is fully exploited by these evangelical groups that fall under Joshua Project. Watch the video of Sikh and Hindu’s waiting to get converted.
I call it failure of SGPC and Hindu committees. Prove me wrong.
5. Debt and Drugs- It is no news that Punjab is crippled by Drugs and debt, especially the farmer class. With addictions emptying their pockets and debts rising, these evangelicals at times go to the extent of givin
drugs as relief measure from problems. In some cases they are also known to have started a basic income for farmers.
Who are these People? How do they do it? There is something called as Joshua Project. A project that aims to reach out to people. https://joshuaproject.net
It is not a tiny project and certainly beyond the scope of @capt_amarinder to contain it. I’m not sure Amarinder Sarkar has the data that they have, not to mention the ground workers. Have a look. https://joshuaproject.net/states_districts/IN/IN05
The project has all the castes and the reach per state.
Joshua Project is managed and financed by something called as Frontier Ventures. https://www.frontierventures.org/about
I’m sure you did not think of magnanimity of the situation but here it is. The Venture has pictures and data of all the people they have managed to convert till date.
I am adding the link to the leadership of Frontier Ventures and it is by and large a huge organisation that works for humanity. Did you think of banning it! You can’t. People converting willfully isn’t crime. https://www.frontierventures.org/about/leadership
If you have read it upto this point. Here are things you can do.
1. Help people before someone else helps them with an agenda.
2. Spread awareness about your religion.
3. Push government to provide the necessities it is supposed to provide.
4. Religious committees should start
focusing on their people instead of Guru ki golak and things can change.
