It was neither the Michauds& #39; 1st nor their last trip to Afghanistan. Together, they spent 60 years photographing the world. They notably focused on Islamic civilizations as well as India and China. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🇦🇫" title="Flag of Afghanistan" aria-label="Emoji: Flag of Afghanistan"> made them famous - and they made the beauty of this country known to the world.
Roland Michaud once defined #Afghanistan as "a country capable of satisfying our thirst for beauty and our dream of absolute". Their first book on this overwhelming country was published in 1969.
Sabrina & Roland Michaud& #39;s pictures moved the souls throughout the world by showing mankind& #39;s sufferings and joys and the breathtaking beauty of nature.
Roland Michaud passed away last Monday, aged 89.
