Most of my posts are about the nutritional aspects of the epidemic of non-communicable diseases that have been the #1 killer globally this century. This year is different, and it's possible communicable disease will cap this year's stats. But that's one year out of 20. (THREAD).

But this thread won't be about nutrition, or disease. or health. So bug out now if you aren't interested in the history of philosophy or epistemic justifications for archaic practices because that's what this is about. This thread is about omnivores believing in magic.

I'm very serious about this. Omnivores, vegetarians, flexitarians and "plant-based" versions of the above all literally believe in magic. I know that sounds like a hard claim to justify, but I hope by the end you will agree I've proven my case.
