I realize we are all on different parts of our journey in regards to how we as black people can elevate ourselves beyond the inhumane and unjust treatment we have to endure by our mere existence. I’ve had numerous thoughts and schools of thought.
Today, given what I’ve experienced directly in the business and political world my views have evolved from when I was a student or young professional
Perspective dictates truth, and someone else’s truth is just as valid as mine. That being said there are absolutes in this world.
I don’t condone violence of any kind because if you are willing to pull a trigger you have to accept a trigger being pulled on you. You won’t find me thinking violence is the answer because I’m not willing to engage in it.
If you however are, here’s my thing. If you are going to be violent, aim for the head, not the fucking toes. Looting a retail store doesn’t change a damn thing. It’s senseless violence that can easily backfire.
The murdering officer’s home is well guarded. Show up there and demand they hand him over. Look at history. That’s how real change happens (if your looking to be violent). All I see with looters is cowards taking advantage of the chaos. End rant*
