I sit here at a loss for words. I cannot nor could ever imagine the pain and fear black Americans face every day. I used my academic career to educate others on white privilege by writing papers and creating discussions within the classroom on the atrocities that white people

commit everyday against poc, but specifically black people. We can no longer sit and watch. We shouldn’t have ever, but as the most educated generations become adults, we have the duty of fighting and using our privilege to stand for those who lives are constantly in danger

due to the color of their skin. I am asking all of you who will see this to write to your congressmen, join your community, donate to organizations fighting for black lives, and protect black people at all cost. If you see any POV being arrested, stand by and intervene.

Fight for your community to have body cameras on police that cannot be shut off. Be a part of protests and be in the front lines guarding your brothers and sisters of this earth. The only way to dismantle the current state of the police force is doing it together.
