The encounter also highlighted that to a lot of Shetlanders, Scottish folk are "them", not "us". Another example o this is when I asked a man in Scallowa his thoughts on indy & he pointed to the ruined castle and said "Yon& #39;s whit happened the last time the Scots tried rulin us"
