Can we talk about how much young professionals need verbal affirmation/support by senior colleagues at work - especially corporate spaces.
It can be depressing working and having no one tell you - well done. Make sure you text your friends once in a while after a new job.

People don& #39;t have to have depressing learning experience to grow in the ranks. It is a toxic trait to not think of a young or old professional as a human being.
You don& #39;t have to be heartless or cold to be a senior colleague. A junior staff (JS) puts in extra hours the day before - goes home late. The following day - you as a decent person should acknowledge the work with simple "You did great yesterday with the shift you put in"!
Don& #39;t "that& #39;s how it is at the top. The more you grow the more work"
You give a JS a task that you know would take him out of his or her comfort zone. He or She does decent work, say "I am surprised you could pull this off. Nice work, well done."
