Why I hate online/virtual class is because NOT ALL students are capable of studying by their own. Some kids prefer listening to their teachers PERSONALLY as they explain complex terms which can't be easily understood by just reading it on printed materials or whatever ...
Some kids need interactions to learn, where they are able to ask questions or clarifications to their teachers so they can grasp the essence of the topics well (obviously, they can't easily do it online given the fact that NOT ALL students have internet connection and gadget).
So my concern is that these programs might affect the academic performance of the students. What would happen to those less-fortunate teenagers who dream to strive for their family, now that DepEd is demanding them to involve themselves in these virtual classes
They can't even afford food, what more for these expenses?
And that as they lack of these necessities, they won't be able to perform well for their grades. The tendency is that they will receive marks lower than they have to attain for the scholarships ...
So I'm expecting the government to realize that it's not bad to postpone the school year just a little bit. Maybe October, maybe November, just not immediately. We're currently in a crisis right now and we're all stressed out about the sufferings and the shortages ...
Do we have to stress ourselves for the future school programs that aren't even certain and proven if effective?
I'm recommending the DepEd not to require the online classes. INSTEAD, they just promote advance studying. Give us the topic, and we will try to read about it. Give us the printed material, and we will try to understand it. It's just that, it shouldn't be GRADED.
I'm certain that DepEd is doing their best to respond for the needs of the Filipino students, and we all should commend that. BUT we should all learn to hear suggestion from others, especially if it came from the majority of the mass : )
I literally have no knowledge about the law or what and I'm just giving my insights and exercising my rights. So if I said something wrong on this thread, please please correct me : )
