In a little more than one week, almost 800 faculty signed onto our pledge to withhold grades. Although this is far less than the 70% of CUNY faculty needed to strike, this is nonetheless an incredible and unprecedented accomplishment for our union and our university. (1/7)
We are not encouraging faculty to withhold their grades beyond the regular deadline.

Thanks to your courage we have sent a powerful message to New York State politicians, @CUNY, and @PSC_CUNY : We will not sit idly by while our jobs and our university are destroyed. (2/7)
Already we're hearing that John Jay College will not be firing nearly as many layoffs as projected! Your swift action has helped push back against preemptive adjunct layoffs and tuition hikes and has helped to build a movement toward a freer, more equitable university (3/7)
The outpouring of solidarity from @GWCUAW @hunter_ydsa @FSP_US @UUPMAC @cuny_free @ruaaup and @payusmoreucsc has been overwhelming and invigorating. You can read their solidarity letters on our website: http://rankandfileaction.com  (4/7)
We have TWO IMMEDIATE ACTIONS: 1. we are asking that adjuncts who are given nonreappointment letters share them on social media using the hashtag #FightBackTogether in a show of solidarity. You can also tag & DM our accounts. We need to make these heinous measures visible! (5/7)
2. RAFA is calling an emergency Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, June 4 from 5 - 7pm. We will discuss and collectively strategize how to proceed with our struggle and how to continue to move the union toward more militant actions. RSVP here: http://tiny.cc/June4RSVP  (6/7)
TLDR: feel free to release your grades today, but don't think the fight is over. We've gained hundreds of supporters, successfully battled preemptive layoffs, & are planning labor and strike actions for the future. We continue to say #cutCOVIDnotCUNY, but also #fundCUNYorstrike
