there was a point where it felt like 'ok lets pull together, anyone need anything from the shop, haha john krasinski nice lad', like, there was a chance we could come out of this a bit more united. Today it feels like... like absolutely mad we ever could have hoped for that
and it feels like that transformation has happened entirely because of the poison, corrupt, selfish, cowardly actions of the people whose job it is to protect us. We all wanted to do this well. Now you look at america and think yeah. Fucking riot.
We'll end up hopeful again because that's what idiot humans do. I don't know anything, but I do know there's nothing we can do to escape from idiot moron hope. which is something.
trying to think of a positive, because I am not helping anyone here. I've spent a lot of my life wondering whether Art is actually an important job to try and do. After these weeks, after it's clear what we have all needed, and taken sanity from, I will never wonder that again.
thank you for making stuff, everyone. Thanks for sharing things that make you laugh, or cry, or just let you get out of this for a minute. I used to (a bit) think in some ways Art was a way to escape from real life, but it's how to feel life proper, when you can't otherwise
