i don’t speak publicly about this a lot of the time however now it seems particularly important, i have dealt with so much racism in my life from being a caribbean immigrant living in england. and it sucks. some of the words i have been called im too afraid to -

repeat because they hurt me so much. but now, i’m afraid to even be around and talk to the people who are meant to protect me? the police are meant to be people who protect us and fight for our safety, not to discriminate - but they are. and that makes me even mofe afraid -

- im hoping my fellow women and men of colour can relate to me on this hence why i made this thread, as i feel someone needs to speak out about how were all feeling right now - and that’s afraid. it should not be like this. #BlackLivesMatter
