Its highest and best use, to the extent that you think a good way to reform the GOP is to hollow out its relatively moderate ranks, is to convince anti-Trump voters not to split tickets on the next line. Well guess what--Trump paces basically every R candidate at this point.

If anything, by tying them to Trump, even negatively, you stand to help them consolidate GOP votes and grasp whatever coattails he has. More likely they'll just take credit for what was going to happen in a few races anyway.

But it's espedially amusing watching them go into KY and come at Cocaine Mitch. Again, same theme--glorified video press release for earned media and clout--but in this case trying to persuade Trump voters to support a Democrat. Not sure these guys are the right messenger...
