What are you doing to stop the abuse of Disabled Australians?
In April, 54 year old Ann Marie Smith was found dead in her home. She lived in a wicker chair. She had one “support worker” through @NDIS who did not afford her dignity in life or death. This week, four year old Willow Dunn was murdered by her father. Her stepmother refused to look after her. She was abused by the very people who should have loved and cared for her. And this week two disabled teenage boys were found locked in a room, naked. Chickens lived in the house. The boys were punished by being locked outside in the heat w/o sunscreen or water. They were malnourished. They were found as their father had died

. @ScottMorrisonMP what are you doing to stop the violence and abuse against disabled people? What are you doing to ensure we are treated safely, fairly and equally and given the chance to live full and active lives in the community? What are you doing to end segregation?
Because, @ScottMorrisonMP, when you pay lip service to disabled people on @IDPwD like you have in this video, when you cut funding to disability services, when your very Parliament is not representative of the disability population, you do not support us.

. @ScottMorrisonMP I want to see true reform for disabled people. I want to see that there is not one more case like Ann Marie’s, & that children like Willow can safely be children and grow up to be who they want, & that boys like the ones in Stafford are free from restraint.
. @ScottMorrisonMP you must ensure that Disabled Australians are safe, treated with dignity and respect, and have full access to participating in the community. Because right now, Australia doesn’t feel a safe place for disabled people. We are mourning and scared.
