morning everyone, I just wanted to share this link to a google doc that I found on Instagram that as a TON of resources for white allies to continue to educate themselves with and it also has more organizations to donate to and other ways to help.

yesterday can’t be the only day we speak with the black stan twt community about the injustices going on in our world, and clearly these events will continue to happen regardless of whether or not something happened similarly the day before. This needs to be an everyday fight +
from all of us. I’m not saying you need to dedicate twitter to the blm movement, but continue to speak up when these horrific events happen and continue to educate yourselves on how else you can help/support the black community. Also, reach out to your black friends on here +
and make sure to check in with them. All of this is extremely traumatic and triggering and while they are so valid in their feelings- they are also probably mentally exhausted. So make sure you as a white or nb poc is doing all they can to support them and be a listening ear +
to them. All this being said, I fully believe hh should not happen this month- and I’ve seen a lot of agreement on the tl already. I think we can use that day to honor the victims most recently affected or we could use it to spread around more supportive resources. But I +
certainly don’t think now is the best time to be distracting from the issue at hand, because our black friends don’t get a distraction. They can’t just log off or ignore it to post a selfie. This is their life. And it needs to be recognized in our lives as well. +
