I need you to grasp how absolutely gut-wrenching it is to go on your phone and see images of people who look like you getting brutalized. This hits home. Many of us have cried, have had panic attacks and are simply left speechless from seeing yet another death being broadcasted.

This is OUR reality. It’s hard to face the idea that our lives mean nothing. WHY ARE YOU GUYS SHARING THESE VIDEOS SO SENSELESSLY? WHY ARE YOU SENDING THESE VIDEOS TO YOUR BLACK FRIENDS AND SAYING “THAT’S INSANE” YES WE KNOW!! THIS IS OUR REALITY!! WE KNOW!!

Stop looking at your black friends for solutions. Stop sending links for go fund me’s for us to donate. Stop sending us articles for us to share. Stop tagging us on posts about racial inequalities. Stop talking to us about protests. LEAVE US ALONE. THIS IS YALLS PROBLEM!!

Have a huddle with your non-black friends and figure out how you can help. Don’t say a word to us about how awful this is. We know. Now what are you doing to destroy this system created by YOUR people? How are YOU using your privilege? We are tired. YOU come up with something.

In the meantime, let us deal with it in our own ways. If that means causing chaos in these streets, we’ll do it. Don’t you dare tell us to stop fighting fire with fire. Respect gets you killed. Innocence gets you killed. EVERYTHING gets you killed. So fuck it.

Don’t shove respectability politics down our throats. How far has respecting white people gotten us? WE ARE STILL DYING. A white supremacist will ALWAYS hate us. We are done thinking rationally. YOU do the thinking now. Let us deal with it in our own ways.

Philando Castille was respecting orders. He got killed senselessly on video. The cops were found NOT guilty. Now what? We don’t know. It’s up to YOU guys to figure it out. Leave your black friends alone. We are sick and tired. We don’t want to be included in your little huddles.

Use your privilege wisely. If it seems to be too heavy for you, you have no idea how it is for us. I want every non-black person reading this right now to understand to STOP sharing information to your black friends and sit the fuck down and find solutions on your own.
