The biblical Christian response to oppression is correction.
Oppression of any kind is a willful, wicked distortion of God’s intended design for humanity.
The following are a FEW reasons I believe we don’t see many Christians condemn oppression:
1. Biblical illiteracy.

If you don’t even know God’s response to injustice and oppression, you will certainly not communicate or model it. You’ll look to some spiritual leader for guidance. And do or don’t do as they teach you.
2. Comfort/Self-Idolatry

The type of investment it takes to correct oppression is for many, frankly, too costly. Self-preservation. Worst yet, many stand to benefit from nothing changing. Complicity. Neither will be motivated to speak against it.
3. Fear/Unbelief

I would like to believe the majority quietly wish things were different —but land here. They lack the faith and/or courage to trust God can change the present conditions. They are unwilling to hope (faith) for what they cannot imagine (sight).
We are to put our trust not in our present state, but in the unmatched character and ability of The Most High God.
The powers of darkness want us to believe significant changes cannot be made. That this is as good as we’ll get. But a quick glimpse into history tells us a very different story.
More so, the attributes of God easily bring all opponents of His will (namely our unbelief) to their knees.

Whose report will you believe?
1. Know God’s expressed will in regard to oppression.

2. Check everything in your heart that fears or opposes it.

3. Live like you believe and belong to the Kingdom.
