These stats about police violence (which pertain in many cases to all races) help show why it's not just a "hate problem" or a "rogue cop" problem and why race is significant and why POC are angry, scared, and asking white people to support them. https://mappingpoliceviolence.org/
A black person is 3x more likely to be killed by a cop than a white person though they're 1.3x more likely to be unarmed than a white person.

There are 8 cities in the US where black men are killed by police at a higher rate than the actual US murder rate.

There are solutions.
This isn't an indictment on all law enforcement just as it isn't an indictment on all white people. But our silence makes us complicit. Our dismissal of race as a part of the issue contributes to the ongoing issue. We must advocate for change, politically/socially/economically
