why is it so hard for white people to accept their privilege in society? like the entire system is set up for you and you’re too selfish and incompetent to even acknowledge it.
like acknowledging your privilege does not equate to racism, acknowledgement is so much more powerful than ignorance. start acknowledging how much easier it is for you and i promise you it’ll broaden your entire horizons about the injustices that others face.
“but it doesn’t concern me so why should i talk on issues that don’t affect me” because you have the power to talk on these issues, combating and quashing outdated ideology and injustice is very powerful, nobody is asking you to change the world by yourself but if people start
to actually take an interest in things other than themselves for a change we could be so much more powerful.
